Is it plausible to simultaneously be a devout Buddhist and aim to be atop the corporate ladder in america? - corporate cookie gifts
I began to understand that Buddhism does not cut it. Essentially, Buddhism teaches more than one second before the other not? If I want to climb the ladder of the effectiveness of the company, I must agree that people in the dust?

I am a practicing Buddhist for a long time, the professional working in the level of the management of listed companies. Buddhist practice that made me a better management of people about the importance of corporate goals and a team more focused with my colleagues.
From my experience, these qualities matter much more than "people in the dust." Maybe I was lucky with my pitches, but I've never seen someone who wanted in the other second success.
In contrast, in companies that I've worked, the staff's most precious is that which supports and encourages the teams to exceed performance goals.
From a Buddhist perspective, however, mean relatively little personal growth, if it is the meaning of life, is unclear.
My teacher, his students often ask: Why do you get each day? Why eat?
If we live only for ourselves, then we will continue to suffer and cause suffering to others. But if we live to the suffering of the endLL beings, then we can work successfully in an environment. All it takes sincere practice is stable.

By the way, I know that a Zen master who has worked professionally as a developer of real estate. The fruits of their labor, many wonderful Zen centers built. I have another that a chemical company, which also has built great Zen centers with its merit. To function, these two figures illustrate the relationship. Know why the work and life-direction is clear.
In Buddhism, we might say that wherever you go, is not as important as the way to go. If you are harming other people reach their destination, it's probably not worth doing, and make even less happy. You can continue to top the company with this attitude. You may not be as fast, but surly have a better time than the band quickly. Can you reach the top without harming others? I know I can only say that this is probably the wrong question. Why would anyone in their right sense of scale from top companies in America wants? It is brutal up there, and people are not happy. Look in any magazine to learn about the plight of the rich and famous. Or to dig through some scientific studies. The show, most of them that are very poor and very rich, not very happy - it's better to be in the middle.
